- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Gob smackingly awful! Have been to this iconic hotel quite a few times over the last 20 years and have never been this disappointed. Staff totally absorbed with themselves and not with customers, ask for wine list, chose wine I would like then was told "Oh, we're not really using that list, what we have is in the fridge", why offer the wine list in the first place? Food was mediocre and I only 2give 2 stars for the wonderful roaring fire place! Really quite sad, as I have always looked forward to popping in on my way up and down the coast, won't be popping in again in the near future.By Shona McTavish, November 03, 2016
